Fractions in Motion
On Friday, we spent our morning block looking at fractions but more specifically 1/2's and what it looks like and what it means.
We spoke about how we cut our fruit and we all need to make sure everyone has enough.
As a class we came up with these ideas about halves:
- need to be the same size
- need to be fair
- you can share it with a buddy
We went to the pavement to do our talking and to show if we were really understanding the concept. So with a buddy we drew shapes and shared it with them by cutting it in half!
